Donating Today!!!

People are so rad sometimes. Within a day, we got to our $100 goal (we were $35 away as of yesterday) in our Cookie be Givin' shop, and then some! It blows my mind to see how quickly you all jump in with love.

Next up... more merch! The shirt I am wearing comes from an extremely talented young designer who I am tapping on to create some equality + love inspired designs. We will have a bunch of different sizes, and will use a local screen print shop to support a small biz! We will hopefully have these in time for holiday shopping, and I will keep you posted.

Today, you donated $100 to a beautifully strong single mother of 4 young children, through an organization called My Bill Angel. This crowdfunding platform is for anyone experiencing financial hardships in a bunch of areas (medical bills, mortgage, rent, automobile, education-related bills...). You can also find them on Facebook and Instagram.

Here is how it works: A person in need submits the past due bill along with documentation. The person wanting to give, searches through all of the needs and selects the need they want to fill. The donation goes directly to the vendor (gas company, electric company, lender, etc.). Here is the mother you donated to, Tierra:

The money we raised beyond our $100 goal, was just enough to provide a Thanksgiving box to Fill a Heart 4 Kids! So instead of putting that towards our next $100 donation, we are going to share it right now, and make Thanksgiving special for kids who maybe weren't sure if it was even going to happen.
