Indigenous People's Day

On Indigenous People's Day, and in the spirit of National Coming Out Day, I want to share a beautiful part of Navajo Culture... The Third Gender. According to the PBS Independent Lens documentary Two Spirits, "nádleehí, a male-bodied person with a feminine nature" is "a special gift according to his ancient Navajo culture."

Inclusion, tolerance, and acceptance is love, and we have so much to learn from the cultures of this land... So much to learn, and so much to return.
