Kids in Urgent Need
There are 300 foster & homeless kids in the Chicago area without their own winter coats, shampoo, toothbrushes, and food. If we all pitch in just a little bit, we can support these youngsters, and help them feel the wholeness of love.
Fill a Heart 4 Kids delivers single serve meals and farm to family produce on Thursdays, and has a comprehensive list of what they are in need of on their FB feed, but I am going to give the rundown right here. Here is what you can send...
Winter coats, hats, gloves (especially for junior high and teens)
Shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste
Microwavable food, mac & cheese cups, Hormel dinners (chicken alfredo for example), protein drinks, soup, ramen, beef jerky, oatmeal,
$10 McDonald's gift certificates which can be purchased at the restaurant, or at Walgreens
Costco, Dollar Tree, and Walmart are excellent resources! I was able to find 6 packs of those Hormel dinners online at Walmart, as well as everything else on their list... and once your order is over $35, your shipping is free, with 2-day delivery and tracking!
